With ProofReg Duo, both parties independently record the same version. Only when both fingerprints match exactly is the registration complete.
The same proof on both sides — precisely so that trust is not needed.

ProofReg Duo is mutual registration: two parties independently record the same version of a file on the XRP Ledger.
In an agreement between two parties, the dispute usually arises where it becomes your word against theirs. Duo solves that by having both sides record the same thing: you register your copy, the other party registers theirs, and only when the fingerprints match exactly is Duo complete.
That verifiably fixes that you both held exactly the same version — not because one trusts the other, but precisely so that trust is not needed. Only the fingerprints go to the ledger; the files stay with the parties themselves.
ProofReg Duo runs in three steps: both choose the same file, both record it, and check the match.
Both parties have the same file — for example the same PDF of the agreement or quote.
Each registers the fingerprint of their own copy. Your browser calculates locally; nothing is uploaded.
If both fingerprints match exactly, Duo is complete. Both receive a certificate and verification link.
ProofReg Duo is for any situation where two parties want to be able to show the same version.
Client and contractor record the same agreement.
Client and supplier confirm the same version.
Both parties record the same final text.
Contractor and client confirm the same extra work.
ProofReg offers two forms: Solo records your side, Duo records the shared version of both parties.
With Solo you record a file — enough to show that and when that version existed on your side. With Duo the other party does the same with their copy, and the match shows that you both held the same version.
Duo does not prove you agreed on everything; it proves you both held the same version. That is exactly the point a dispute usually arises over.
ProofReg automatically creates a certificate with every registration and anchors that certificate itself on the XRP Ledger too, at no extra cost.
You receive the certificate by email. The certificate can carry the email address it was sent to; because it is delivered by email, whoever holds it had access to that mailbox at that moment — so the proof is tied to an email address, not to a verified identity.
Because the certificate itself is on the ledger, no one can undetectably alter or backdate it afterwards — not even us. So even your proof has a proof, which anyone can verify without ProofReg.
ProofReg Duo lets two parties each record the same document independently. Only when both fingerprints match exactly does the mutual registration complete. It proves you both held the same version, not that you agreed.
ProofReg records that this exact SHA-256 fingerprint, with the label and registrant you entered, existed on the XRP Ledger before the recorded ledger timestamp. That is independent and publicly verifiable, without sharing the document.
No. Your browser calculates the SHA-256 fingerprint locally. Only those 64 characters, plus an optional label or registrant you choose, are recorded. The file never leaves your computer.
Yes. A ProofReg certificate states the fixed anchoring account, the certificate id and the issue date. With those, it can be verified in a few steps on any public XRP Ledger explorer, without ProofReg.
A registration costs from €1, paid with credits. Verifying a certificate is always free and account-free.
Then you did not have exactly the same file — even a one-character difference is enough. Duo completes only on an exact match, so you know for sure you are talking about the same version.
No. Each records at their own moment. As soon as both registrations exist and the fingerprints match, Duo is complete.
